Installing hardwood floors is complicated. Aside from requiring specials tools, installers need special skills and the know-how to address any subfloor issues, such as an uneven surface or excessive moisture. Before installation
We will coordinate everything, including sending out an estimator to measure rooms. In addition, you can expect our installers to move heavy furniture, remove trim and floor molding, and prep the subfloor for installation. You should also keep in mind that hardwood needs to acclimate to its environment before installation, so you'll need to prepare for its arrival several days before your installation occurs.
Depending on the type of hardwood you’ve chosen, installation directions will vary. Solid wood flooring is either glued, nailed, or stapled to a wood subfloor. Engineered wood floors can be either nailed or glued down like a traditional hardwood installation or installed as floating floor installation.
After installation
Your installers will advise you of any steps to take once your flooring is installed. For the most part, factory finished floors can be walked on immediately after installation is complete.
